Links to Rail and Transport Unions

There are a number of unions in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico that represent railroad workers. Unfortunately, most are organized by craft, contain fewer and fewer members, and are scattered across the continent. Many are older unions that got their start in rail, but which have moved on and branched out to organize in other industries, leaving just a small fragment of their membership still in rail. Others continue to strictly represent workers in the rail industry. Many have sought merger partners and are now affiliated to “parent” unions like the Teamsters and Service Employees.
