Total Safety Culture Tool Kit
No matter what your craft or carrier many railroad employees are now faced with Behavior Based Safety programs on their property or terminal. On this page you will find information about BBS programs, and what you can do at your union local/division to fight blame the worker safety programs such as Union Pacific Railroads "Total Safety Culture" or Burlington Norther Santa Fe Railroads "Roadway Equipment Behavior Based Safety." The following documents start out with a "Roadmap" for eliminating Total Safety Culture. This kit is specificly tailored to Union Pacifics TSC. There is a seperate tool kit entitled "Standard BBS Tool Kit Template" which are the same set of documents below stripped of the Total Safety Culture name. This set of documents is set up so that you can easily taylor them with your local/div's information and the name of whichever BBS program you are fighting on your property. Click on this link for the "Standard BBS Tool Kit Template". There are ten documents in the Total Safety Culture Tool Kit. Each document dovetails wth eachother to form a strong base from which to fight Total Safety Culture. To download a file, click the corresponding red download arrow.
