Hoffa endorses Obama
Unbelievable. In speaking to brothers in various rail crafts, and to different brother Teamsters in the area (5 different locals not counting the BMWED and the BLE affilliated crafts) and no one out of any of them heard anything about a poll as to whom the membership supported. The majority around this neck of the woods? Hillary Rodham Clinton. The reasons? Senator Clinton not only has a plan for necessary changes, she has shared it with the people. (So far we keep hearing Senator Obama has a plan and we need to change, but what is that plan?) With Senator Clinton we get a twofer. Former President Clinton will be invaluable. He has international contacts that respect him as well as political allies. Did our leadership capitulate just because it looked like Obama was leading? Or is it because of a firm belief that this man not only can but WILL help organized labor? Time will tell. R. Friend |
