FRA reporting on Kismet, CA BNSF accident?
As everyone would agree, the accident at Kismet, Ca on the BNSF was particularly stunning due to the on board video. I have to say that I was deeply impacted by it, and have been axiously checking the NTSB website for the full report on the accident. I unserstand that investigations take time, It has been some time now (the accident happened on June 14, 2006). Does anyone know the investigation process for a major accident like this, and I am curious to know what else people have heard? I also truly wonder how much is swept under the rug on an incident as serious as this if the carrier, signal systems, non-human error were to blame. |
