Call for a wage re-opener for not just OBS, but all rail labor contracts, so that rail workers’ unions can negotiate an emergency wage increase to protect their members from the ravages of spiking living costs and Reinstate COLA!

So the ASWC has brought us up to par with other Amtrak Unions?

What other Amtrak Union gets regular time plus 4 hours extra pay for holidays? None,everyone else receives DOUBLE TIME and a HALF  for holidays while the employees who leave their families and homes to work on-board  the train receive four hours.

What other Amtrak Union goes into overtime after 185 hours in a month? None,most go into overtime after 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week.

What other Amtrak Union gets one personal day after 7 years? None!

What other Amtrak Union loses pay to receive a Vacation? None!

That’s the problem, OBS is not represented by A Union. We are represented by three unions that come together as the Amtrak Service Workers Council. OBS represents a minority of TWU, TCU, and HERE. And the majority interest of these Unions lie elsewhere, other than the welfare of OBS.

We are the face of Amtrak, the people serving the people. We deserve to be treated the same as other Amtrak Unions.

 Are our interest really being served?

And the ASWC had to agree to all of this....
